Description of Role and Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the role is is to maintain strong relationships with existing clients and support the onboarding of new clients acquired by Wealth Managers. This role focuses on servicing, retention, and growth of the Bank's client base, ultimately contributing to increased Assets Under Management (AUM) and related revenues. Additionally, the role encompasses the administrative aspects of the new Direct Client Business team onboarding, with specific responsibilities as outlined below.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain high-quality relationships with existing clients and Wealth Managers, ensuring they receive the highest levels of proactive service.
- Accurately and efficiently carry out all ongoing administrative tasks associated with account relationships, including remediation exercises where applicable.
- Process client buy/sell instructions across all asset classes, including FX and cash deposits.
- Assist in cash management and liquidity requirements, supporting client lending administration.
- Manage all due diligence and onboarding procedures for new clients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date client records, documentation, and reports in accordance with the Bank's policies.
- Collaborate with Wealth Managers on ongoing KYC exercises and account reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support Wealth Managers in the preparation of NBFs for final sign-off.
Accountabilities
- Ensure all business is conducted in accordance with the rules, guidelines, and expectations of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and Investec's compliance guidelines.
- Align business practices with Investec values, including collaboration, integrity, and a commitment to treating customers fairly.
- Participate in annual client portfolio performance reviews alongside the Discretionary Management team and Group Relationship Manager.
- Oversee queries related to client accounts on operational topics, ensuring appropriate service levels for payments, securities transfers, trade settlements, corporate actions, and client reporting.
- Refer client relationships to other Investec Group members to enhance client relevance and deepen Investec's presence in client relations.

- Comprehensive understanding of the products and services offered by the International Wealth & Investment Management business.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and resilience.
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a challenging environment, prioritising workloads and leading by example.
- Active learning mindset, with an understanding of the implications of new information.
- Degree-educated and/or possessing relevant industry experience.
- CWMA Certificate preferred.
Core Competencies
- Understand and adhere to all relevant compliance considerations, including the regulatory environment and associated processes.
- Implement Investec Investment team and business procedures, contributing to internal forums and issue escalation as necessary.
- Identify and assess relevant material business risks.
