The Position

We are running a platform which hosts content which is R&D relevant. These could be in different formats, like recordings, but also PDF, PPT, Podcasts or pictures. The content is coming mainly from 2 different areas: conferences, meetings, or scientific talks, and the other area are courses which assembled particular content purposefully. The key for making this content available to end user is a comprehensive description and metadata which can be used by the algorithms underlying the search engine or other tools.

The information management for the underlying database is a key component of this job, since data entry and curation are also key for the successful presentation of content. In addition we are working on creative solutions on how to present content to the end user in order to gain insights into preferences and dislikes. Since we have the desire to provide individualized recommendations to the end user. We would also like to experiment if brief videos or summaries by Synthesia and evaluate if these are appealing to the end user.

Beside the content from 3rd parties we are also helping customers in the the creation process for learning material. This includes and is not limited to writing scripts, choosing suitable platforms, and curating the content. The learning material will then be also presented at the platform we are using to ensure wide distribution.

During this internship you will:

  • Extract relevant information out of the provided content and intake forms
  • Update, maintain and populate metadata fields
  • Run tests, to understand if implemented technology is recognizing the input
  • Support writing scripts for learning material, create storyboards, transform scripts into learning material on various platforms.
  • Find creative solutions for gathering the end users interests, draft solutions accordingly, work on pilot stage


Who You Are

  • You are enrolled or have completed your studies at a university or technical college, preferably in the field of computer science, data science, life sciences or similar field within the last 12 months and are interested to apply your knowledge in a modern work environment and get to know the pharmaceutical industry during an internship lasting at least 6 months

In addition, you bring the following skills:

  • Your are an expert of GWorkspace (especially GSheet),
  • Experience with Synthesia video, scripting, AI supported scripting and scene development is a huge plus
  • You have interest in scientific topics and a basic understanding of biological, physiological and medical terms,
  • Your have excellent English understanding and writing (our working environment is in English)
  • You are creative and open to new learning technologies, and you like to be explore
  • You have a basic understanding of a database
  • You understand the need to accurate curated data in a database and you are happy to take on bigger tasks about data entry and data curation and monitoring
  • Routine work will be part of the job which includes but is not limited to correspondence with content provider to request additional information, going through source files and extract information form recordings to populate metadata fields
  • You are open to learn new techniques

The preferred start of the internship is January 2024 or upon agreement. Please indicate your preferred start date and the desired duration of the internship in your application.
