Southern Europe Oral Care Category Marketing Lead About the role: The Southern Europe Oral Care Category Marketing Lead sets the oral care portfolio strategy and activation to deliver the growth ambition of a € 200m business. Provide marketing leadership at the interface of Global, Regional and LOC operations. Inspires performance with a data & digital at the core to deliver best-in-class brand leadership within the oral care category in the SE BU. Key driver long-term growth strategies for oral care category, Oral Care brands and markets with strong execution plans within LOCs, while supporting countries on their in year performance, sharing and scaling best practice with an agile mindset. Together with the BU Marketing head, builds BU and LOC capabilities with strong focus on digital, data through media and analytics. Plays a critical role in co-creation and is the voice of the BU within the region and the oral care global category teams. Key Resposabilities:

  • Grow consumption and penetration across brands as per defined OC SE strategy and deliver SE OC P&L (NS, GM & OP) by partnering with cross functions and the countries to deploy the defined strategies.
  • Inspire marketing team in the country Haleon codesn key growth priorities within critical brand/market combinations and allocates resources accordingly.
  • Lead interface with SE BU Marketing director and GMs on 3-1 business planning to create winning oral care marketing and innovations strategies to maximize growth in LOC/Area P&Ls.
  • Build a sustainable OC innovation strategy and pipeline to deliver SE innovation agenda delivering both complex (category lead) and simple innovation (channel/pack BU strategy) to unlock channel and sales ratio targets.
  • Be an active member of the OC brand councils co-creating global category campaign and tool kits. Scategoriesountries in execute global toolkit with a consumer obsessed mindset.
  • Drive a robust data driven decision making standards across the oral care marketing team to make smarter decisions, ambitious LRPg communication and grow new sales channels.
  • Accelerate SE digital journey in the oral care category to become world class standard and hub for best practice that is shared and scaled across the BU.
  • Together with SE Bu marketing director build and entrepreneur and new culture mindset among the BU and LOC marketing teams to embed and drive a world class environment of Innovation and Speed to seize opportunities/challenges to over deliver plans.

Detailed responsibilities: Planning

  • Work with SE Category Directors, GMs, LOC Marketing Managers and Commercial Director to build powerful, ambitious LRP for oral care in SE.
  • Effective portfolio management and strategy for the BU to maximize sales and profit for Haleon in the oral care category.
  • Conduct Source of Growth Analysis for the category, develop MAPs consistent with global category & brand growth plans, but fit for purpose for the BU that deliver desired business outcomes.
  • Aggregation of actionable local insight via closeness with consumers, customers, experts and shoppers to help activation and inform the BU Marketing plans
  • Innovation planning, sequencing, implementation planning, tracking and learning in ten oral care category.
  • Smart investment (budget) allocations with appropriate mix between advertising and in-store efforts in collaboration with sales channel and category management of the three different countries in the BU. Work closely with Media team and agency partners to create strong plan according to our consumers experience journey.
  • Develop, validate and consistently deploy winning claims working closely with Category, regulatory, medical and activation teams.
  • Strategic contribution to global category & brand strategy development using actionable insight from markets - leveraging a powerful SE voice to secure winning global assets.

Activation

  • Champion creative and effective activation of global category & brand strategies in market to deliver maximum impact for SE customers, experts, shoppers and consumers.
  • Adopt and champion winning global creative ideas that can be activated across multiple channels, specifically leveraging digital media, word-of-mouth and experiential marketing, foundation channels driving data capture, in additional to traditional media types.

  • Share, recognize, reward and re-deploy best practice activation across the BU
  • Ensure high quality capabilities in the BU marketing team through:
    • Right structure, roles & responsibilities;
    • Capability development
    • coaching, mentoring, training;
    • Tracking capability build across the oral care marketing team.

Measure and Course Correct

  • Measure success of local & global initiatives and provide timely and quality feedback to the wider BU marketing teams as well as the Global category teams.
  • Track implementation and effectiveness across the BU for review with the BU Leadership Team, with a focus on quality in terms of the deployment ensuring delivery of BU business outcomes.
  • Define insights programme in partnership with CBIA to include regular consumer/shopper closeness and deep human understanding that inform and support the CEE BU growth agenda.

Internal & External Stakeholders Management

  • Lead Bu interaction with oral care global team.
  • Work closely with all the function (especially R&D and commercial team) to develop an holistic strategy. Be the point of contact for the Oral Care Category for the SE BU management table.
  • Participate in industry conferences, e.g. Marketing Society, Festival of Marketing to ensure external benchmarking and bringing in new ideas and industry developments.
  • Drive external focus in the BU marketing team, regular field visits with in-market sales teams deriving insight that supports future growth strategies.

Leadership

  • Play a key role in the BU Marketing team on development of business strategy, culture, diversity and inclusion, ways of working and commercial capabilities required to drive success.
  • Grow high quality talent for BU marketing succession plans and to feed the global Category talent pipeline.
  • Champion and drive change & continuous improvement.
  • Drive and model compliance with all Haleon codes of practice.
  • Model Haleon culture and behaviours, while ensuring it all pivots back to delivering everyday health with humanity.

Requirements

  • University Degree.
  • +10 years diverse experience in marketing, and commercial functions.
  • Senior marketing with commercial experience essential.
  • Data driven marketing approach and digital competencies a must.
  • Startegic Marketing, Robust data driven approach, Media & Digital capabilities.
  • The role operates at a strategic level and requires performance delivery and interaction across the whole SE, EMEALatam, Global team.
  • Credibility with Global Category Leadership, GMs, Media & CBIA Teams, Finance & SE, EMEALatam and SLT.
