Your mission

• Advise on general legal, regulatory and compliance topics with respect to ongoing business activities such as advertising, consumer protection, commercial transactions, data protection and intellectual property
• Act as internal data protection officer in accordance with FADP and GDPR laws
• Advising and training of internal stakeholders on the implementation of data protection as well as reporting to upper management
• Carrying out risk assessments, including data protection impact assessments and processing incident reports
• Supervise and manage other team members to oversee the management of the IP portfolio and provide practical guidance and actionable advice when it comes to use and registration of our IP
• Draft, review and negotiate agreements such as license, IT, privacy, service and distribution agreements
• Support internal teams to identify legal risks and devise strategies for risk mitigation
• Collaborate with other P&C Legal Heads to coordinate and align on Company wide legal policies and practicess
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Your profile

• Law degree and admission to a bar (CH and/or DE preferable)
• Demonstrable experience and understanding in handling GDPR compliance and data protection operations (CIPP certification an advantage)
• Solid understanding and experience in handling intellectual property matters including reviewing IP clauses in contracts and managing an international IP portfolio
• 3-5 years’ experience working on commercial topics (preferably in a law firm and/or a legal department of an international company)
• In-depth knowledge of retail industry practices ideal
• Fluent German skills are mandatory. Excellent command of English, other languages desirable
• A motivated and proactive mindset focused on being solution-driven
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
