HR – Manager I, HRSS Payroll & Benefits with German Full-time Job

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for, but not limited to, processing payrolls for multiple companies/countries (Germany, Austria, Poland and UK) accurately and timely. Ensure compliance with Government local payroll laws and regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues efficiently. Deliver quality customer service in a timely, accurate and professional manner. Partners with our HR Team, suppliers, payroll vendors, to resolve payroll issues and ensure that all taxing liabilities are properly remitted.


Payroll Processing (Germany, Austria, Poland and UK):
o Process monthly payroll runs, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime.
o Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions such as salaries, benefits, garnishments, and taxes.
o Cooperate effectively with the payroll vendors in the countries to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
o Review and validate timekeeping data for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
o Process monthly/quarterly Expat shadow payroll entries and 3rd party relocation entries.

Key Responsibilities:

o Provide support to both internal and external audit inquiries.

o Own benefits processes with local and global vendors (Pension Plan, Meal Allowance, Vacations tracker, Health Insurance, etc.), including the payroll implementation.
o Verify and audit payroll changes entered by HRSS for processing with established deadlines.
o Respond to employees with questions regarding their payroll and/or benefits information.
o Maintain payroll support documents per internal policies and procedures.
o Complete payroll reporting requirements per regulations.
o Drive change by collaborating on procedures to streamline payroll processes.
o Assist in special HR projects as assigned by management.
o Stay updated on State and local payroll laws and regulations.
o Ensure payroll processes comply with all relevant laws, including tax regulations and wage and hour laws.
o Prepare and submit required payroll reports and filings, including tax forms and employment records.

Education:
o bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or HR Labor Relations.

Experience:
o 5 years centralized payroll processing experience, preferred with ADP Streamline, ADP Celergo or SD Worx payroll solutions.
o Understanding of, and experience with, the Oracle HRIS System preferred
o Knowledge of relevant payroll, income tax laws, and regulations in a multi-country setting required
o Experience with severance and relocation preferred

Skills:
o Excellent written and verbal English communication skills ( Proficiency English Level )
o Written and verbal communications skills in German ( Advanced German Leve l)
o Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
o Detail orientated with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
o High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
o Strong analytical and data gathering skills
o Knowledge and understanding of payroll processing systems and other related accounting principles
o Culture of collaboration within the team: Enthusiasm for teaching and helping others
o Passion for payroll and technology
