We’re Adevinta, a global leader in digital marketplaces. Our household name brands, including Marktplaats in the Netherlands, mobile.de in Germany and leboncoin in France, reach hundreds of millions of people every month. We’re all about matchmaking, and our sites help people find whatever they’re looking for in their local communities – whether it’s a car, an apartment, a sofa or a new job. Every connection made or item found makes a difference by creating a world where people share more and waste less. Our brands are supported by global Tech Hubs in Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin. Their goal is to develop common global products and innovation platforms which all of our brands can use. This means using cutting edge technology to create highly scalable, customisable and secure products and components that free up development time and leverage our access to global data. What you’ll do & Who you are Due to a change in strategic direction towards a more market-centric approach, improving customer and user experiences, the priority for 2025 is to pave the way for greater autonomy across our marketplaces. Part of this is to move from our global HRIS solution (Workday) to an HR system solution for the local marketplaces.
You will be part of the global People Programmes team, reporting into the Director People Operations. The team is based in Amsterdam and Barcelona and you will be hybrid. You will ensure that by the end of 2025 each marketplace is able to manage their workforce. From administering payroll to hiring candidates and from maintaining employee data to managing promotions. Currently, all this is done by global teams. In 2025 each marketplace will establish their own HR team and have their own HR tooling.
The programme is run in partnership with the Enterprise Platforms & Tech Operations (EPTO) team who are the technical owners of Workday and who lead the technical requirements and integration of the new solution.
What you'll do:

  • Programme Management: Oversee the design, implementation and rollout, ensuring that all phases are completed on time and within budget. This includes managing project plans, timelines and resources;
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure alignment between HR, IT, local teams and other departments. Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide updates;
  • System Configuration and Testing: Lead the configuration and oversee testing phases to ensure the system functions correctly and meets requirements;
  • Change Management and Training: Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure adoption of the new system. Organise training for end-users to maximise system utilisation;
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that the HRIS implementation complies with regulations and standards;
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and report on risk status;
  • Handover: Ensure handover of HRIS to operations after rollout, organise ongoing support and maintenance to address issues and ensure continuous improvement.

Who you are:

  • Programme Management: At least 7+ years of experience in programme management, organising design and rollout / migration of HRIS systems across multiple regions;
  • HRIS Implementation: Experience with multiple HRIS systems such as Workday or similar platforms and SaaS mid-market HRIS solutions. This includes hands-on experience in system architecture, contractual design, HR process design, solution design, configuration, testing and deployment;
  • HR and IT Collaboration: Experience in working with HR and IT departments to align system capabilities with business needs and ensure seamless integration with existing business processes and landscape;
  • Change Management: Experience in leading change management initiatives, including developing strategies to facilitate user adoption and minimise resistance across the organisation;
  • System Integration: Knowledge of integration techniques and experience with APIs and middleware to connect HRIS with other enterprise systems, such as IAM solutions, SAP and Payroll service providers.
  • You are a current resident of one of these countries: France, Germany, Spain or the Netherlands and you are legally able to work there.
