Would you like your next QA automation challenge to have a big impact? The Global Betting Platform (‘gbp’) is Flutter’s flagship proprietary sports betting platform and is being used by multiple Brands across the Group to power delivery of new Sports betting features at pace. Today the gbp product enables the generate of 33% of the total Flutter Group Sportsbook online revenue and has around 1.7m active customers across the multiple brands transacting on it.

The team

Reporting to a Delivery Manager in a team formed by 5 Developers and 1 QA, you will be using cutting-edge technologies to deliver amazing value to our customers, while scaling our platform to meet the demands of worldwide markets. You will be working as part of a multiple team, multiple location environment to further evolve the gbp platform to become a truly world-class sports betting platform to power the Flutter Group to innovate and differentiate the experience we can provide to our customers across our multiple brands.

  • Improving our ability to test efficiently as well as enhancing the product and customer experience;
  • Have a decisive role in the automation strategy of your team and project, so you must have a proven track record of software testing for fast paced organizations where time to market, quality and rapid change are critical to the company's success.
  • Establish close relationships with members of the development community inside and outside of own delivery team, underpinned by trust, integrity and respect.
  • Be objective, impartial, and unbiased, ensuring equal treatment for all and that decisions taken are based on objective criteria. You are pragmatic and passionate for the art of problem solving.
  • Work effectively and in partnership with other delivery community members inside and outside of own delivery team on company shared goals that align towards the achievement of the Flutter group technology strategy.
  • Understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives on an issue and you are able to adapt your approach in order to achieve a successful outcome.


This might be for you if you:

  • Passionate for building a great consumer product that our customers will love;
  • Proven-track record as an effective Quality Engineer in complex software development projects;
  • Demonstrated experience of both manual and automated testing methods;
  • Experience writing/maintaining test automation and test scripts;
  • Experience supporting developers in writing better test automation;
  • Experience mentoring and coaching other team members on software testing best practices;
  • Working knowledge of a development language such as Java, Python or C#;
  • Demonstrated experience of testing in service-oriented architectures and understanding data flow through such systems;
  • Experience taking on complex technical concepts and information relatively quickly in most contexts and providing immediate advice on effective courses of action;
  • Expertise demonstrating & illustrating an understanding of solution architecture including system design, data design and data flow;
  • Expertise in testing at API layers (e.g. REST);
  • Familiarity with test-driven development techniques (e.g. BDD and ATDD);
  • Experience working with version control systems such as Git;
  • Comfort with Linux navigation and script automation using shell;
  • Understanding of build and configuration tools such as Jenkins, Puppet, CHEF and Ansible.
