Mission
As V&V Engineer of the Avionics Team, you will be responsible for all aspects of avionics verification and validation activities, providing also support on the manufacturing, assembly and its integration in launch vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, analyze system, subsystem and component avionics requirements.
- Perform tailoring of normative, standards and recommendations applicable to the assembly, integration, testing and verification activities.
- Elaborate test plans, procedures and reports at component, subsystem and system level.
- Support the execution of design verification, qualification and acceptance test campaigns, including environmental tests.
- Support the execution of avionics testing activities at the different integration levels: board, component, subsystem.
- Generate and release on schedule engineering documentation such as design verification reports, analysis reports, plans, procedures.
- Document and communicate the verification and validation results thoroughly and clearly via review meetings/milestones.
Necessary Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience with avionics verification and validation activities.
- 3+ years of experience with Avionics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, current probes.
- 2+ years of experience with design and development of EGSE.
- 2+ years of experience in a hardware and/or software testing environment.
- Work independently, in a structured and results-oriented manner to achieve goals on time and to coordinate work processes efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to work with contacts at all levels.
Desired Requirements
- Experience with avionics hardware including flight computers, sensors, batteries, PCDUs, antennas, transmitters, receivers, sensors, actuators, and PCBAs.
- Experience developing object-oriented software and automated test software
- Experience with environmental testing such as thermal, vibration, shock, thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC
- Understanding of electrical schematics and electronics manufacturing to analyse and improve test coverage
- Experience analysing circuits and developing functional test plans
- Knowledge of ECSS standards.
- Proven track record solving complex problems with minimal supervision and on a tight schedule
- Experience in working in clean room and EPA (Electrostatic Protection Area) environments.
- Previous experience in Launch Vehicles projects.
