We are looking for “Recruiter Relations + Careers Advising” on Marketing related companies and roles. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Marketing Agency and/or Corporate Marketing companies in roles related with marketing, specifically: digital marketing and strategic marketing and communication.
This role has two main responsibilities: to build relations with employers with the aim to create career opportunities in the marketing field for all IE students; and to prepare candidates to succeed in their recruiting processes.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid.

Responsibilities:

Your role as Associate Director, Functional Lead – Marketing & Communication, Talent & Careers will involve:


Employers Relations; Business Development & Account Management

  • Collaborate with Account Managers across different sectors to boost the Marketing sector accounts and business development plan to bring new opportunities related to the Marketing and Communications field.
  • Contribute to specific company targets and performance goals and metrics, to be reviewed regularly with different Sector Heads.
  • Develop and execute an employer outreach strategy targeting selected geographies and sectors.
  • Conducting visits to employer partners and new business leads to reinforce relationships and seek new opportunities for both on-campus and off-campus recruiting.
  • Sales calls and proactive outreach to represent the University both nationally and internationally to increase volume of recruiters and geographic diversity of recruiters.
  • Facilitate employers' participation in specific recruiting events, including panels with sector experts, Talent Forums, company presentations, workshops, interviews on campus as well as other events designed to facilitate interactions between employers and students.
  • Coordinate with the T&C operations team the communication and marketing plan to promote recruiting and employer branding events.

Functional Advising
Develop and deliver workshops and informational sessions about recruitment process preparation for the Marketing field across sectors. Ad-hoc sessions for the business master’s programs related to Marketing.
Career coaching and advising candidates through their process of self-assessment, research, networking and interview preparation, job search guidance for the specific sector/company. Specific KPIs to measure specific results achieved.
Develop and keep up to date the knowledge about specific marketing and communications different roles, by conducting ongoing research and engagement with the company representatives and alumni to ensure students have current information about specific jobs and industries.
Coordinate with professional student club activities: events, panels, etc.
Define and complete special projects related to the Talen t& Careers as required.
Understand and promote career resources and career education events.
Manage and report employment information and statistics. Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should have:


  • Master´s Degree.
  • Experience in marketing roles, as a function, specifically related to digital marketing and strategic marketing and communication.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in marketing agency/ies, ideally multinational, or corporate company/ies with a professional development in the marketing field.
  • Bilingual/native level of English is required and Spanish.
  • Empathetic.
  • Coaching experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with diverse constituency, including senior executives.
  • Multi-tasking and the ability to work with a sense of urgency under tight deadlines.
  • Initiative: the candidate must be a professional with self-confidence, a spirit of service, a proactive attitude, action oriented, dynamic, hardworking, innovative, and receptive to improvements and constant learning.
  • Results oriented to achieve objectives, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends occasionally.
  • Proven ability to create and establish external business relationships.
  • Global mentality, being able to work with people from different backgrounds and keep an open mind to different needs.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior successful sales or business development experience.
  • Deep knowledge of higher education (master or MBA) programs and employers.
  • Direct experience in a Career Services office from a top ranked school.
  • Experience as a coach, career advisor, headhunter or recruiter will be highly valued.
  • Database management, marketing communication and direct marketing expertise a plus.
  • Organizational skills and able to plan and manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Attention to detail: the candidate must have the necessary characteristics and style of working related to an academic environment.
  • Additional languages would be a plus.
