Accounting and Revenue Unit – Finance Directorate

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and revenue Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on public sector financial management.


Education and qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economy, Business administration or a related field.
  • Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (business level)



Experience and knowledge:
Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience
  • In-depth knowledge of public sector accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and funding requirements.
  • Monitor and manage budget research allocations and expenditures.
  • Billing team support.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Labour conditions:

  • Full-time position: 40h/week.
  • Starting date: immediate
  • Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale
  • Contract: Permanent
