RINA is looking for a Electromagnetics Engineer to join our Space&Defense team in Rome.
Mission
- Development, Support and Execution of electromagnetic compatibility tests in accordance with civil (IEC, EN), military (MIL-STD-461 and 464) and aeronautical (DO-160) standards;
- Analysis of EMC/E3 requirements;
- Analysis and preparation (in accordance with applicable civil and/or military standards) test plans, test procedures, and test reports with impact analysis in terms of design and installation;
- Analysis of electrical/electronic diagrams;
- Development and application of EMC countermeasures (bonding, grounding, cable routing, cable segragation, shielding, etc.) on complex systems such as ships, airplanes, helicopters, automotive, etc. (not necessarily all);
- Monitoring and execution of EMC qualification tests and/or measurements in Italy and abroad;
- Interaction with other disciplines such as safety, system engineering and various design areas.
Job Responsibilities
- Degree in electronic or telecommunications engineering;
- Good knowledge of electromagnetism (antennas, guided propagation, etc.), electronics (radio frequency and microwave) and electrical engineering;
- Knowledge of E3 issues at both the apparatus and platform level (aircraft, ship,) and of the applicable standards MIL-STD-464C, MIL-STD-461G and RTCA/DO-160G, ED-107A, SAE ARP5415, but of the regulations EMC IEC/EN/CEI used in the civil field;
- Knowledge of the main electromagnetic simulation tools, CST, FEKO, etc. and post processing tools such as Matlab;
- Knowledge and ability in the use of the main measurement and test systems for electromagnetic compatibility (e.g. spectrum analyzer, signal generators, antennas, current probes, voltage, oscilloscope, etc.);
- Experience or involvement in national/international programs in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (ships, airplanes, helicopters, automotive, etc, not necessarily all).

- Good knowledge of both written and spoken English.
