Join ourGlobal Ecosystem Insights (EI) team and be at the forefront of shaping Roche's Pharma strategy through market and customer centric insights. This team functions as internal consultants and strategists, partnering with commercial and cross-functional leaders, integrating data to activate insights-driven problem solving with foresight, in a way that the business can execute, in order to unlock value end to end, across the healthcare ecosystem and improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Thought Leadership in a specific Disease Area (DA) or other assigned business area: Act as the global insights and forecasting thought partner to senior leaders in GPS, Product Development and Research and Development for a specific disease area or other assigned business area (e.g. pipeline), to influence the development and execution of the global disease area strategy and/or individual asset strategies and/or the disease area commercialisation strategy. Drive and influence business decisions and trade-offs by integrating and analyzing complex market dynamics, customer needs and competitive landscape, integrating insights end to end, from in-market brands to early development strategy to deliver value to patients, society and Roche.

  • Customer and Market Centric Insights in a specific DA or other assigned business area: Accountable for embedding the voice of the customer (patients, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders) in the disease area strategy and/or individual asset development strategies and/or commercialisation strategy. Responsible for key deliverables like market valuations, product/portfolio forecasts, periodic situation analysis to inform portfolio performance and evolution, design and execution of the annual insights plan and performance tracking. Integrate data across multiple sources, including but not limited to primary and secondary research, CRM data, real world evidence and other internal data sources to understand and predict market evolution, customer attitudes, needs, behaviors and perceptions.

  • Excellent project management: Effectively plan, organize, and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they address the business questions, are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Set clear objectives and track progress, driving efficient execution.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence: Collaborate with other cross functional teams such as R&D, product development, medical affairs and with critical must win markets on key projects and deliverables, with clear communication, managing expectations and adapting to changing priorities. Ensures accountability across all stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Catalyze and accelerate insights generation activities across key stakeholders for maximum impact.

  • Manage and develop external insights agency partners: Identify, bring onboard, and manage relationships with top-tier insights agencies that specialize in the following (including but not limited to): customer and market insights, demand estimation, positioning, segmentation, communication experience, message testing and performance tracking, using innovative tools and techniques including AI as relevant

  • Accountable for insights stewardship at a DA level (applicable for Senior DA Integrated Insights Leads) : Accelerate and catalyze generation and utilization of market and customer insights end to end, from pipeline through to commercialization and vice versa, to allow for insights-driven decision making at multiple levels (DA and individual asset strategies). Foresee trends in disease prevalence, treatment and management, customer attitudes, needs and behaviors to align the company’s R&D and commercialisation strategies with future opportunities, unlocking the path to value earlier, minimizing risk and informing resource prioritization.

  • Lead a high performance insights and forecasting team (applicable for Senior DA Integrated Insights Leads) : Lead and mentor Strategic Insights and Forecasting Leads supporting the Asset teams and Commercialisation Leadership Team (CLT), developing capabilities, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous development, recognition and growth mindset. Drive feedback, coaching and performance management practices to ensure the team is performing to the highest standard. Manage resource allocation within the disease area and partner with the leadership team in EI to ensure the highest alignment with prioritization across the entire portfolio.

Who You Are

  • Experience:

    • 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology industry and/or management consultancy related to pharmaceuticals, with proven track record in insights and/or strategy roles

    • Proven experience in supporting R&D commercialisation strategy and/or product launch strategy preferred

    • Outstanding VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst and Coach) leadership skills: Proven track record in building high performing teams and ability to influence in a collaborative way within a cross functional environment (for Senior Strategic Insights & Forecasting Leads)

  • Skills:

    • Excellent strategic thinker with a passion for customer insights, market dynamics, problem solving and innovation

    • Strong analytical, problem solving and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex market and customer data into clear and actionable insights that influence business decisions at the disease area and/or individual asset levels. Expertise in developing forward-looking strategies that anticipate market trends, customer needs and competitive dynamics

    • Solid experience in forecasting, market valuations, insights generation methodologies in primary market research and secondary market research data. Experience with CRM analytics and real world evidence preferred

    • Experience in using advanced analytics tools (e.g., AI, machine learning, predictive modeling) to generate actionable insights that drive impact

    • Strong communication, listening, presentation and interpersonal skills

    • A team player with the ability to form strong partnerships and collaborate across function and geographies at a global, regional and country level

    • Demonstrated experience in working with senior leaders and influencing without authority

    • Fluent written and verbal english

  • Certification:

    • Bachelor’s degree; however, Masters or PhD degrees are preferred
