About Liom
Liom is a Swiss health-tech startup dedicated to revolutionizing the field of personalized health monitoring. Our objective is to develop the first health wearable monitoring glucose non-invasively. We will launch our wearable as a consumer product in the EU in H1’2027, and then as a medically cleared product in the US. Our team consists of over 80 staff, including more than 50 PhDs, with deep expertise in entrepreneurship, product development, and the required engineering as well as scientific disciplines. We are operating out of our lab facilities in Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland, and our office in San Francisco, United States.
Your mission
- Optimize performance of machine learning algorithms for embedded devices in terms of complexity, memory, latency and power consumption in the context of health wearables
- Build a platform to release product grade machine learning models
- Collaborate with firmware team to implement and deploy AI algorithms on edge
- Collaborate with ML researcher to provide insights on target hardware performance
Your profile
- Degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Strong experience in embedded C/C++ and Python programming (5+ years)
- Strong experience with embedded neural networks and their deployment frameworks (Tensorflow, Pytorch, TFLite, ONNX, …), compilers, hardware accelerators and system simulations. (3+ years)
- Experience efficient ML, for instance quantization, model pruning, low-rank factorization, knowledge distillation. (3+ years)
- Experience with low power ML applications
- Knowledge of health algorithms and wearables is a plus
