Your role and responsibilities

In this position, we are at the forefront of writing the future of safe, smart and sustainable electrification. As the Sales Manager responsible for the Wholesales, Installer and System Integrator segments, you will lead several sales teams and continue our growth story in the area of Smart Energy Distribution and Building & Home Automation on the Swiss Market. In order to succeed in this role, you have a proven track-record in leading and developing sizeable sales teams, a sound understanding of the Swiss Market and a good technical understanding of the relevant products and solutions. • Line management and personnel development of three sales teams • Strategic further development and operational management of the sales channels wholesale, installers and system integrators throughout Switzerland • Define key sales targets and establish appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance • Ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets • Proactively anticipate and identify shortfalls in performance and take appropriate remedial action • Ensure solid market segmentation and professional price management • Implement product line activities defined with Marketing in the various sales channels • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers in customer and potential customer organizations • Represent ABB at trade shows, events or in business relevant associations • Ensure efficient processes in CRM and ERP (SAP)

Qualifications for the role

  • University or technical college degree (at least bachelor's level, technical field preferred)
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Several years of sales experience with at least 3 years of experience as a leader of a larger sales team
  • Sound knowledge of the Swiss market (low voltage products)
  • Solid CRM experience (ideally SalesForce)
  • Fluent in German, good English and French skills are mandatory
