Position Overview:
The Regional Treasurer will oversee and manage all aspects of cash management, liquidity, and financial risk management across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This role requires a strong understanding of complex regulatory environments, banking relationships, and financial operations within multiple jurisdictions. This is a key role within the treasury department and will work closely with the Group Treasurer and senior leadership, ensuring optimal cash flow management, compliance, and strategic treasury initiatives to support the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Management:
- Transform regional transactional banking, automating bank connectivity allowing scalability and efficient processing by SSC teams
- Optimize working capital through intercompany loans and liquidity structures for the region, ensuring efficient repatriation of cash to Group.
- Optimize the regional treasury operations and strategic initiatives including M&A and supporting the Regional Finance Officers.
Banking Relationships:
- Support the Group Treasurer in managing and cultivating strong relationships with international banking partners.
- Negotiate banking terms, fees, and facilities, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local and international treasury regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting requirements across complex jurisdictions.
- Keep up to date with regional regulatory changes affecting treasury operations.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage treasury-related projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and restructuring initiatives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and integrate treasury operations globally.

You are likely to have 10 + years working in a treasury department of a large multinational organisation.
- Strong understanding of regional treasury regulations and financial landscapes.
- Strong understanding of banking practices, cash pooling structures, and complex jurisdictional challenges.
- Proven ability to lead treasury-related projects from concept through implementation, including system upgrades, process automation, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Being tech-savvy you are eager to push to the limits of process automation and your curious mindset will lead you to the cutting edge of AI in treasury.
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to senior management in a clear and actionable manner.
- Ability to build credibility and maintain relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues and
- Represent the company at industry events as a thought leader.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics and a qualified treasurer (ideally FCT).
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional language(s) within the regions is an asset.
