We are now looking for a Product Engineer to join our Product Management and Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our product managers with product life-cycle information, managing projects and providing customer information.
The locations for the position are in Frauenfeld (Switzerland), Trieste (Italy) or Hamburg (Germany). In accordance with the local hybrid work model, you will be able to work partially remotely.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Product Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Act as a Project Manager to support our Product Management for their product lifecycle (product launch, obsolescence, and product discontinuation).
- Perform product care within the Product Improvement Process (PIP), like case assessment, case registration, Root Cause Analysis and solution validation.
- Manage the assigned PIP issues, organize meetings, involve stakeholders, co-ordinate activities and provide support for implementation.
- Provide content for product documentation including manuals, work instructions, Service Bulletins etc.
- Ensure adherence to deadlines, costs, and quality.
- Provision of support during product launches of service products onto markets.
- Be a technical contact for internal stakeholders.
Requirements for the position
- BSc or MSc in Marine Engineering, or Chief Engineer with 3+ years of experience of working on board vessel in an operational engine room environment (in a role such as Field Service Engineer or in a similar one).
OR
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the marine engine industry, having gained strong technical knowledge of engines, and willing to learn in a new global environment.
- Proficient in written and spoken English is a must have.
- Project management skills are highly desirable.
