Tasks

  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports, emphasizing KPIs and improvement recommendations for management.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting for product lines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with strategic objectives.
  • Analyze discrepancies between budgets/forecasts and actual performance, offering explanations and corrective recommendations.
  • Oversee costing methodologies for accuracy in financial systems, working with development and supply chain teams to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Partner with product management, marketing, sales, and operations to support product development, pricing strategies, and promotions.
  • Assess and enhance financial control processes related to product management for increased efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Conduct additional financial analyses and reporting for senior management to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements in all financial activities related to products.


Skills


  • Proficiency in German and English is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, CIMA) are a plus.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in financial analysis, controlling, or a related field, preferably within a product-focused environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
