ONWARD is looking for a dynamic and highly skilled IT Support Engineer to temporarily support our IT operations during an extended absence. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring smooth daily operations by providing exceptional technical support, managing cloud infrastructure, and maintaining various devices and systems.

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable IT Support Engineer for a temporary 10-month contract to provide crucial support in maintaining our IT infrastructure and assisting end users. This role is a short-term replacement, responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our on-premises network systems, including Ubiquiti, Aruba, and Fortinet, as well as managing our cloud environments in Microsoft 365 and Azure.

In this role, you will be expected to step in seamlessly, taking over day-to-day system administration tasks, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing responsive user support. Your expertise will help maintain continuity in both IT operations and user satisfaction during the contract period. While network management and system administration will be your primary responsibilities, any knowledge in Java and HTML coding would be an added bonus, allowing for additional contributions to automation and custom solutions.

Responsibilities

IT Support & Helpdesk

• Provide Level 1 to 3 technical support to end-users for a wide range of devices and tools.
• Onboard and train new employees on essential systems and technologies.
• Offer technical support for platforms like Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and other SaaS tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair devices across Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android environments.
• Assist with office technologies (conference systems, printers, connectivity, access control, digital signage, etc.).
• Maintain a user-friendly self-service tech portal for educational resources.

IT Infrastructure

• Provide support for both on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Proactively maintain and enhance our cloud and on-prem systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.
• Assist with systems administration and cloud implementation on Azure.
• Monitor infrastructure for performance and security compliance.
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Monitor network traffic, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement security protocols to safeguard against potential threats.
• Contribute to IT projects focused on systems implementation, data integration, and process improvements.

IT tools & devices exposure

• Ubiquiti, Aruba, and Fortinet systems.
• Mac OS, iOS, Windows 10/11, and Windows Server 2019/2022.
• Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Azure and various other SaaS tools.

About you

• Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of network security, firewall

  configurations, and wireless technologies.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and all related applications.
• Proficient in Azure administration, cloud infrastructure management, and power automation.
• Familiarity with endpoint management tools and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer support.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide clear and concise support to users.
