What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage a team of 6-8 Automation Engineers within Biologics Assets, ensuring team functionality and alignment with operational priorities.

• Coordinate schedules, deliverables, and on-call support to meet the needs of operations while managing team capacity effectively.

• Ensure all automation designs follow global and site standards.

• Manage compliance tasks such as deviation investigations and ensure timely closure of all compliance objects.

• Provide technical mentorship and leadership for Tier 2, 3, and 4 projects, driving successful implementation and performance.

• Deliver on direct line management responsibilities, including mentoring, performance feedback, and development planning.

• Collaborate with Operations, MSAT, and Quality collaborators to align automation objectives with business strategy.

• Act as a subject matter expert in DeltaV and Syncade systems, GMP lifecycle management, and biological manufacturing operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biochemistry, or related fields, or equivalent experience.

• Experience: 5+ years in Biologics GMP manufacturing with operational experience and strong knowledge of MES/DeltaV systems.

• Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of GMP manufacturing principles, DeltaV, MES, PCS recipe management, and compliance in automation.

• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, get results, and promote collaboration across departments.

• Discernment and savvy in understanding the business landscape, along with a strong customer orientation and the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Language Skills: Proficient in English (required); German proficiency is a plus.
