What the day will look like

Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be responsible for client acquisition, bringing Aon solutions to new clients and bringing new services to existing clients from several sources including the Aon network, client networking and personal networking. The Business Development Manager will identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. The work will involve careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets. You will also be asked to contribute your thought leadership to the overall development of the Benefits practice.

Key Accountabilities:
Actively establish relationships across Aon and exploit cross selling opportunities
Accountable for account planning and identifying new market and prospect opportunities
Identify, develop and maintain effective prospect relationships using best practice sales techniques
Understand the client need and match them with Aon Solutions
Fully understand the sales plan and articulate the value delivered by Aon and efficitnetly lead remuneration negotiations with clients
Contribute to the overall Ireland & EMEA team’s sales strategy
Optimally use tools and instruments available to handle pipeline and opportunities
Accountable for adherences to business processes, systems and procedures
Responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and business procedures

Due to our global presence, our large book of existing clients and our large network, part of your role will be to work on new RFP’s and Global inbound opportunities.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Employee benefits background with experience in a client facing role and proven experience consulting to C suite decision makers
Strong negotiation skills and commercial competence, with a consistent record in sales performance
Hardworking teammate with positive relationship and emotional intelligence skills who can sell reasons for change / plans to a diverse range of relationships
Strong social skills – able to communicate well across organisational levels, particularly and C-suite and Senior Reward or Human Resource managerial levels
Able to identify and influence key collaborators and decision makers
Completion of relevant industry exams, QFA or equivalent would be a distinct advantage
