We are currently looking for a Building Management Systems Specialist in Neuchatel (possibility for Lausanne).


In this position you will be responsible to develop and manage Building Management Systems to achieve optimal automation level, uninterrupted services, efficient monitoring of building infrastructure and integration into the wider PMI data management system.


Your responsibilities:


System Management:

  • Elaborate the strategy of IT WX BMS architecture and update it.
  • Maintain the buildings-management IT infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems related to hardware, software, and network problems of BMS.
  • Local IT BMS server maintenance.
  • Update IT systems to maintain a level of security against possible external attacks (e.g. firewalls).

Vendor Management:

  • Follow-up and management of tasks subcontracted to IFM or other suppliers in the domain of IT and BMS.

Data Management:

  • Maintain building infrastructure database: ensure that all information is successfully imported by controlling all data upload applications as well as the data quality of our data sources. Elaborate data in Dashboard Power BI with peers and supervisor.

SME/ Project Management :

  • Act as SME to deliver expertise for IT and Building Management Systems in various projects (IT BMS systems cloud migration, etc..).
  • Propose models and solutions to make our buildings intelligent (SMART Building, etc.).
  • Collaborate and transfer know-how in specific IT-BMS domain.
  • Provide support to the Factory team on the management of servers, alarms, data, etc.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that any feedback/complaint from customer is correctly channeled, according to quality framework.


We’re looking for someone with:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in computer engineering including leading projects in building management field
  • Experience in a multi-national corporate environment
  • Knowledge of automation building system and Information Technology (Beckhoff, Wonderware, PC Vue, SAIA)
  • Knowledge in Smart building field
  • Programming languages and technologies is preferred: Python (including Flask & Django) ; C# ; WEB Development (HTML, CSS3, JavaScript) ; DotNet (.Net Core, ASP) ; Knowledge in Cloud
  • Experience in R&D chemical/biological laboratories is an asset
  • BMS systems knowledge
  • Understanding of analytical tools and ways of presenting data (PowerBi preferably)
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Curiosity and detail oriented
