Would you like to leverage your technical skills and strong client-facing skills while supporting leading international manufacturers such as Diageo, Guinness, Baileys, Macallan Whiskey, Jameson Whiskey, Glanbia, Darigold, Valley Queen Cheese, BP Chemicals and Baxter? As the MES Implementation Engineer for upgrades, you’ll lead a team of 2-3 and will work on technical solutions to carry out upgrades for our customers. You will be highly skilled in relation to working with databases and will ensure all the components of our MES solution are working as expected. This is a technical role where you will also be skilled in writing code.

As the key player reporting to the Program Manager, your journey is all about crafting ingenious solutions and making them a reality. You won't be going at it alone; you'll lead a dynamic team of 2-3 Project Engineers, guiding them towards delivering top-tier solutions. Your canvas includes exhilarating projects like data migrations, crafting and developing database interfaces, and creating interfaces with third-party systems.
But here's the twist: this isn't just any role. You'll be part of a team that adheres to an ISO 9001 approved systems engineering methodology. You won't just be making things happen in your backyard; your solutions will span across Ireland and beyond. And the best part? Key Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and technical advice to team colleagues, partners and customers. Interface with customers on requirements gathering ,design and implementation with a focus on the integration/interface phase
- Work closely with customers in delivering a successful design and implementation for Upgrades
- Diagnose and address operational data issues
- Design systems that reflect the real-world complexity of running manufacturing processes
- Write clean, modern, testable, well-documented code. You’ll be the initial tester for all code that you write
- Under the project plan, manage project workflow to meet the deadlines, which you will have set with the Program Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related fields with sufficient IT experience
- A minimum of 5 years experience in managing manufacturing systems and databases
- Database Technical Skills: Strong knowledge and practical experience with SQL
- databases, T-SQL codes, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers
- Programming Technical Skills: Knowledge of a programming language
Preferred Skills
- Industry knowledge in either food and beverage or pharmaceutical would be considered an advantage
- Version Control: GIT
