Position title: HVDC Commissioning Engineer (f/m/d) - SCADA

A Snapshot of Your Day

In our HVDC SCADA Team, we are implementing, testing and verifying the hardware and software for our innovative HVDC Projects in our Test Centre and ensure a proper communication of our HVDC Plants worldwide during commissioning. Our diverse and multinational teams are working closely together with project management, system and equipment engineering as well as with end customers to provide customized solutions based on the latest innovations in HVDC technology.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• You are responsible for technically flawless, on-time and economical handling of the commissioning of HVDC systems on our construction sites worldwide in particular for data networks and components of the SCADA- Level
• You are responsible for the commissioning, support, and control of the mostly TCP/IP- based network infrastructure, the HMI concept as well as their expedient adaptation.
• You are responsible for the time synchronization as well as for the local-/and remote Signal converter, thus you present the interface to all other signal providers involved.
• You contribute to your commissioning colleagues as well as customers and external partners in troubleshooting and testing the communication interfaces
• Support of the commissioning management in quality, risk and claim management
• Participation in improvement programs (e.g. Lean, Reviews and Lessons Learned)

What You Bring

• Completed electrical engineering degree or several years of practical work experience in
• systematic troubleshooting on complex electrical and / or electronic System
• Affinity to work with and on Computers
• Basic knowledge of programming and visualization of processes
• Basic knowledge of computer systems, domains and an understanding of IT security
• Good English skills, other language skills are very welcome
• Willingness to undertake worldwide business trips and assignments on construction sites abroad as well as optionally also assignments on offshore platforms
• Team player, communicative, proactive, positive handling of conflicts, decision-making capability
