Job Description
The Germany Capability Sustainment Program (CSP) Engineering Interface (EI) will be directly responsible for technical execution of contract deliverables and providing technical assistance to the German Air Force, requiring broad technical understanding of Air and Missile Defense Systems including engineering, operational and manufacturing development standards, processes, and best practices. This position will directly interface with the customers from the German Government in addition to international suppliers.
The position will start hybrid working onsite at times in Massachusetts with the expectation to deploy to Germany approximately during the first quarter of 2025 for a minimum duration of 2 years. A Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Provide technical leadership across globally distributed cross functional team, with representatives from Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, IPT/CPT Leadership, and Program Office
- Primary OCONUS program technical point of contact with the customer senior technical counterparts and internal senior program management and engineering leadership.
- Manage and influence customer expectations through timely and accurate communication, advocate for most effective user solutions and capabilities.
- Develop, maintain and deliver the Germany CSP Communications Plan according to contract submittal timelines. The Communications Plan will provide a vision and recommendations to achieve interoperability with new Patriot production fire units and legacy German Patriot fire units.
- Support technical engagements with the German customer and German defense industry partners though Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), working groups, etc.
- Provide technical advisory disposition for Export / Import (EXIM) compliance
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 6 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required.
- Direct experience collaborating with international defense customers
- Active and transferrable US government issued security clearance is required prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
- Experience in Patriot Program (or similar program) system design, development, integration/verification, production, and sustainment
- Broad technical understanding of Patriot System CONOPS and hardware
- Direct experience with International FMS and/or DCS programs and International Supplier’s/Partner’s engineering execution
- Direct experience in concepts of operations development and/or design of system level architecture
- Direct experience with Patriot communications/networking equipment and system level communications architecture
- Demonstrated experience with globally distributed engineering execution organizations (CONUS and OCONUS)
- Direct experience with Ground Based Air Defense CONOPS

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
