Overview

On behalf of a client in the South Eastern Region of Switzerland, PM Group are looking to hire a Technical Project Lead (Equipment Engineer) for the overveiw of equipment to site; Weight, Dispensing, Cell Banking etc.

In this role you will work in close collaboration with the technical team during the design phase, FATs / SATs and commissioning - through to IQ / OQ activity. You will exact technical standards to assure compliance throughout.

Responsibilities

Responsibility within three phases;

Package Management

  • Multiple packages to manage across different areas of the site. Working with various operation teams and EMR (electrical + automation) colleagues.
  • Strong experience in vendor communication, VTOP checking, Qualification document review and understanding of operational procedures would be advantage.
  • Review bids and confirm PO’s with procurement for equipment from multiple vendors to match site and user requirements. Assistance with budget and cost benefit and assist with budget management. Assist with co-ordination of move in of equipment and SAT by vendors.
  • Ownership of package equipment and co-ordinate the “MC date” with the construction team.

P&IDs

  • Review and approve P&IDs
  • Signing Issued for Construction P&IDs to confirm mechanical scope accuracy

Plant Engineering + Start-Up

  • Work with plant engineering team to ensure site database for assigned packages is up to date
  • Co-ordinate questions between the PQ / Start up team and the vendors as required for consumables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (process, pharmaceutical, biochemical or equivalent)
  • Experience with relevant biotech process equipment and Delta V software
  • Strong understanding of design in all project phases and process operations in biotech
  • Collaborative personality, strong decision maker, and ability to work independently
  • Will interface: Process and Manufacturing Leads, Plant Engineering and other support functions, EPCM partners
  • Must be able to quickly adapt to changed conditions
  • Needs to know the world of the Lonza Standards and GMP
  • Capable to convey the Lonza requirements to the whole project team
  • Establish network in Visp to stay aligned with Visp Engineering
  • Assure that the standards are applied right the first time
  • Sufficient self-esteem (but no arrogance) to convince senior SMEs about the need to apply the technical standards
  • Fluency in English is a must, Fluency in German advantageous
