Santander Consumer Finance focuses on business development related to consumer finance products, sales channels and commercial agreements with dealers, vehicle manufacturers or retail distribution establishments, as well as commercial functions associated with direct sales (branches, call centers or digital channels) and indirect sales (through third parties) of consumer finance products.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As an Enterprise Architect you will be participating in the definition of the technology strategy, defining Reference architectures, Technological stack, Principles and Standards etc… across different architectural domains with special attention to Engagement, Risk & Compliance and Consumer Lending Domains. You will have to work in coordination with Global CTO and supporting SCF countries, especially Western Hub countries and SCF global platforms in the definition of global and local solutions under these domains, ensuring their alignment and compliance with SCF IT strategy, policies, principles and standards.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
- Defining target reference architectures, new standards, patterns, archetypes… specially in the following Business Domains: Risk & Compliance and Consumer Lending processors.
- Maintaining and updating, when appropriate, the common catalogue of solutions for SCF in alignment with the Global catalogue, with special attention to the following Business Domains: Risk & Compliance and Consumer Lending processors.
- Ensuring global and local solution architectures follow the guidelines set by the reference architectures, using assets reflected into the IT Assets catalogue.
- Supporting the CTO function in SCF with special focus in countries oversight and governance, supporting the proper function of governance bodies (sourcing / products tables, committees, forums, …) and measuring and reporting corresponding CTO KPIs.
- Providing support and guidance to solutions architects, technical leads and project managers throughout lifecycle of projects with special attention to SCF countries.
- Fostering continuous innovation and ways of working, promoting initiatives to evaluate new technologies and solutions and special attention to new Agile ways of working within Santander Consumer.
EXPERIENCE
- 5 – 7 years of experience in relevant IT functions including architecture.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor´s degree or similar in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Strong strategic view to align technological solutions to business needs through a holistic view and knowledge of business processes and technology. Experience in the banking sector and in particular in consumer business will be highly valued.
- Experienced in managing architecture frameworks, tools and artifacts. Familiar with blueprints, reference architectures, application maps, solutions designs, …
- Proven expertise in Agile methodologies will be highly considered.
- Soft skills are as important as hard skills in this role. Leadership, communication, negotiation, collaboration, consensus building, … are key factors when networking with multidisciplinary teams from corporation, countries, headquarters, factories, partners and vendors.
- High level of written and spoken English, as you will be interacting with numerous colleagues from countries across Europe using English language for all of them.
OTHER INFORMATION
- Sporadic availability to travel (3-4 times a year as average) if necessary.
