Commercial Underwriter 100% (m/f/d)

The role

Under the direction of the Commercial Director, you will manage a portfolio of renewal business clients and new business submissions in order to achieve Allianz Trade profitability and growth objectives. This position will work to provide policy structure and pricing for existing client renewal programs and new business applications, develop and manage customer relationships, cultivate relationships with sales force and broker partners, provide the highest quality of customer service, assess commercial underwriting risk, and review credit standing of the assigned portfolio.

What you can do

• Structure and price new business and renewal policies to drive profitability and growth on the team
• Provide high level of customer service to internal and external customers while proactively servicing a portfolio of accounts
• Manage customer and broker relationships in conjunction with our Sales Force team
• Quote/negotiate new and renewal business transactions in accordance with Allianz Trade pricing and retention initiatives
• Lead and/or contribute to special projects

What you bring with you

• Bachelor's Degree in business economics, finance or higher education
• 1-3 years of professional experience in financial services or commercial underwriting experience preferably in the insurance industry
• Team player with a high willingness to learn and an open mind
• Ability to work under pressure, combined with a high level of initiative and autonomy and a solution-oriented approach
• English and German (fluent written and spoken)
