What you'll do


We are excited to announce an opportunity for a highly motivated intern or working student to join our Marketing Translation Service Team at SAP's Language Experience (LX) unit. You will be working directly with our translation project managers for a minimum duration of six months. Your role will involve dealing with a broad array of marketing assets—from videos and brochures to interactive formats—all managed within various content management systems and translation tools. A unique learning opportunity in an innovative environment!


As an intern or working student, your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Assisting in internal translation project management tasks using various tools for project and translation management.
  • Conducting quality checks and corrections to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Managing translation queries.
  • Creating and updating internal process and tool documentation to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
  • Participating in testing activities, specifically for new tool releases, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Getting involved in strategic projects related to neural machine translation and speech-to-text technologies.
  • Collaborating on strategic initiatives that will shape future processes and technology within our department.



We hope you can join us as a full-time intern for a minimum duration of six months (equivalent to one full semester).
As an alternative, we invite you to join our team as a working student for a minimum of six months. In this capacity, you would be expected to work up to 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours during semester breaks.
Furthermore, we prefer if you have several semesters remaining until your graduation, which could allow you to extend your time with us.

What you bring


Are you a linguistics, translation, or computer linguistics student who is passionate about languages? Do you have experience with standard tools in the translation field? Are your MS Office skills solid and perhaps complemented by knowledge of Adobe InDesign?

If so, we invite you to join our dynamic team at SAP where you can additionally show and apply the following skills:


  • Experience with standard translation tools such as RWS Trados Studio, XTM, Smartling would be a good addition.
  • Fluency in English and German is a must. Knowledge of an additional language will be seen as a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team is crucial.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to work under time pressure are required.
  • An eagerness to gain a thorough understanding of translation processes at a major multinational company is expected.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
