Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience managing large-scale technical projects in the software engineering domain.
  • Experience in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • 12 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience with front end technologies like TypeScript, React or Angular.
  • Knowledge of and experience with front-end, web testing infrastructure, distributed systems and architecture.
  • Knowledge of ML and front-end domain, including experience with large models (language or multi-modal).
  • Passion for AI technology and all of its possibilities.

For US Candidates: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $278,000-$399,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance and scalable web front-end/full-stack architectures for Gemini that enable fast-paced product innovation.
  • Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and back-end engineers to ensure a seamless and beautiful product experience on Web.
  • Optimize the performance of Gemini's Web surface.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of approximately 40 front-end and application engineers.
  • Advocate and enforce front-end development best practices and code reviews, staying abreast of emerging front-end technologies and trends.
