Interviews
If your application passes the initial screening, a recruiter will contact you to further discuss your application. A suitable time will be arranged, this will be held either on Microsoft Teams or in person and will be approximately 1 hour long. The process may differ slightly depending on the role, and you will be asked to attend between 2-3 interviews before a job offer is made. Interviews are not only for our team to greater understand your experience, they also allow you to ask any additional questions you may have about the company and the role. To ensure a fair process for all, our hiring managers go through inclusive hiring training.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We deliver innovative mechanical engineering solutions for ground and space-based optical applications.
We are seeking an OPTICAL ENGINEER to be involved in our project for development and design layout and systems for ground and space optical applications. The ideal candidate has a passion to design, develop and test optical system and components. We’re seeking a team player that can work alongside the engineering area, especially with mechanical, electronic and manufacturing departments.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO
- Define detailed design of optical system
- Execute optical performance analysis
- Perform tolerance analysis and optimize the design for manufacturability/integration
- Definition and management of error and performance budgets
- Define and design alignment setup
- Prepare alignment plan/procedure
- Prepare optical components requirement definition and specification
- Optical coating specifications
- Define Optical components manufacturing drawings
- Contribute to AIT phases (optical tests, integration and optical alignment)
- Radiometric estimation
- Prepare high quality documentation (e.g. design and analysis report, integration procedure and test report)
- Interaction with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN OPTICAL ENGINEER
- University degree in Physics or Optical Engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving attitude
- Experience in Optomechanical systems optical design and analysis
- Knowledge of Telescope configurations in VIS and NIR wavelength. The knowledge in UV and IR ranges is an advantage
- Experience in optical alignment, in definition of optomechanical system measurement set up
- Knowledge of optical images processing
- Knowledge of optical metrology and set up (e.g: interferometric measurements)
- Knowledge of Zemax
- Knowledge of FRED
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE
- More than 3-year experience in similar role
- Confidence with optical manufacturing process
- Knowledge of Matlab/Phyton
