Junior Avaloq developers assist in supporting continuous improvement throughout the development of Avaloq customizations. They write basic Avaloq code, maintain applications, address bugs, and deploy software enhancements. They work independently side by side with senior developers to create a robust ABS (Avaloq Banking System) setup..

The junior Avaloq developer will help customize ABS (Avaloq Banking System) and participate in the testing process of the implementation. They are expected to have an in-depth knowledge of common programming languages and a high motivation to learn new software within the Avaloq ecosystem. Success in this role will be demonstrated by delivering customizations that are up-to-date and fully functional.

Being a consulting firm, we expect a proactive work mentality across the entire consulting spectrum, beyond the scope of the position title.

Responsibilities and Duties

Works on minor Avaloq issues

Writes reports regarding the state of software under development

Conducts development tests

Monitors the performance of internal systems

Attends daily developer meetings

Analyzes user needs and software requirements to inform system design

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of work experience in software or web development

Detail-oriented and goal-oriented

Proficient in Microsoft 365

Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge of the financial industry is an advantage

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
