The Head of Global Mobility is responsible for leading and managing the Global Mobility function within our Total Rewards and HR organization. This role involves further developing and implementing strategies to facilitate the international movement of employees, ensuring compliance with global immigration laws and policies, and providing a seamless relocation experience. You will work closely with senior leadership, Talent Management, HR teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to support the organization's talent management and growth objectives.

What you will do
- Regularly benchmark and review our Global Mobility strategy to ensure it is aligned with the organization's business objectives. Provide strategic guidance and support to HR, Talent Management and senior leadership on Global Mobility matters. Continuously assess and review processes, guidance and technology to increase value, economies of scale and efficiency, and finally, help deliver the strategy.
- Manage a team who oversees the end-to-end relocation process for employees in scope (Extended Business Travelers, Host Based Assignments and International Experience Assignments), including visa and work permit applications, relocation logistics, and settling-in services. Provide continuous support and guidance to employees and their families throughout the assignment process. Be the single point of contact for relocation activities for Zurich’s most senior leaders.
- Ensure compliance with international immigration laws, tax and social security regulations and employment laws. Monitor changes in global mobility regulations and update guidance and practices accordingly. Manage and coordinate vendor agreements such as for: tax services, international medical insurance, international compensation & country data, and relocation and monitor their performance on a regular basis.
- Manage regular annual processes (salary review, Short- and Long-Term incentives and consequent correct handling of taxes, social security, monitor cost of living and currency exchange rate adjustments etc.).
- Maintain accurate records and data related to Global Mobility activities. Generate and analyse reports on metrics, trends, and performance. Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on Global Mobility initiatives and outcome.
- Manage the Global Mobility budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions for relocation and expatriation. Analyse and report on program costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
What you bring
- Significant experience (typically 15+ years) in Global Mobility, international HR, or a related field is essential. This includes experience with international assignments, expatriation, repatriation, and relocation processes as well as international tax, social security and immigration regulations;
- Proven track record of leadership and strategic planning in a Global Mobility, Total Rewards or international HR role;
- Culturally aware and able to navigate effectively through complex organisation environments;
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts with relocation service providers;
- Understanding of financial management, including budgeting and cost analysis for global mobility programs;
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; and
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
