As the Global Lead Network Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and managing Axpo’s hybrid and cloud-based network infrastructure. You’ll lead a specialized team, ensuring secure, high-performance, and scalable networks that support our business goals.

What you will do:

• Lead and mentor a team of network engineers in technical and administrative capacities.
• Develop and implement network strategies and architectures for cloud and on-premises environments.
• Design scalable Azure cloud network architectures, utilizing automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Establish monitoring tools for network performance, cost efficiency, and security threat analysis.
• Implement and enforce best practices for network security, including IAM, firewalls, and IDS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical solutions to stakeholders.

What you bring & who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar, with Azure Networking Engineer or CCNP certification.
• 3+ years in a leadership role within cloud networking, plus experience in large-scale IT environments.
• Expertise in Azure cloud network services, network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Strong analytical skills, customer focus, and quality-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in English (B2 minimum); German preferred but optional.
