The Asset Development & Construction Project Manager serves as member of the Construction division into the Port Development & Shoreside and reports directly to the VP Global Construction. The department is engaged in various on-going projects and day-to-day activities: the PM has to manage up to two construction projects at the same time, monitoring the progress of pre-construction activities and construction works together with local team (internally or externally sourced). The PM also has to develop MSC’s management tools on his/her supervised projects. The PM will be based in our Geneva Headquarters but will also have frequent missions to the project sites (eventually up to 1/3 of the working days).
- University degree – Civil/Environmental Engineer or Architecture
- 8-10 years of experience in an international construction/development company, with experience in design and/or construction coordination
- Nice to have: previous experience in port and marine works.
- Fluent English, spoken and written; Spanish is a plus.
- Open mind and capable to work in an international and multi-cultural environment
- Ability to multitask and flexibility to change of strategy
- Willingness to take the initiative
- Medium-high capability to work under pressure
- Humbleness and good interpersonal and communications skills with all levels of employees
- Software proficiency in tools such as MS Office, Planning tools, Data management Platform are required.
- Supervision and coordination of assigned construction projects, liaising daily with the local PM team and participating in key project meetings
- Participation in the development and implementation of the management tools and procedures of the Construction unit
- Application of the processes and models to projects in progress• Support and technical guidance to the development and feasibility study phase
- Leading the supplier contracting phase (design company, consultants, contractors, suppliers, etc.)
- Leading/coordinating the pre-construction phase
- Development and verification of technical modifications, variations, claims
