SCOR Investments is the business unit of the SCOR Group focused on investments and asset management. It comprises the SCOR Group Investment Office, which handles record-keeping, accounting, reporting, financial analysis, planning, compliance, and risk analysis, and SCOR Investment Partners, an asset management firm. SCOR Investments has two main missions: defining and managing SCOR's asset allocation and developing a profitable third-party asset management business.

The Investment Planning & Analysis team part of the Group Investment Office, based in Zurich, is responsible for financial reporting, analysis, and strategic and operational planning for the Group's investment portfolio, providing centralized services to the Group and its legal entities.


Key duties and responsibilities

  • Consolidate, prepare and analyze reporting on the invested assets perimeter of SCOR:
    • production of SI weekly investment reporting
    • production of part of Group Investment Committee reporting (quarterly)
    • production of Local Investment Committees reporting (quarterly)
    • Organization and consolidation of Group- and Local investment committees and documentation
    • Review of asset manager fees
  • Support to quarter closing for IFRS investments including variance analysis:
    • participates to the landing process on SCOR invested assets perimeter
    • participates to quarterly group investment financial closings, and prepares related documentation and reports
  • Participates to the investment planning of the Group:
    • supports strategic and operating plans runs
    • analyses, challenges and presents the results
    • may develop and improve the modelling tools
  • Prepares ad hoc analyses for the top management of the SGI Division

Primarily based in Zurich, the Investment Reporting Analyst may travel to other locations of the SGI Division. He regularly interacts with other SCOR stakeholders, including notably SCOR IP, the other departments of SCOR Group investment Office, Group FP&A, Group Finance Investments, Group IFRS Center of Excellence, local entities Finance teams, etc.


Required experience & competencies

Experience:

  • 3-7 years of experience in a similar function in the areas of Investment Controlling, Investment Reporting and/or Risk Controlling preferably in Insurance Company, Asset or Investment Management Firm

Digital Competencies:

  • Superior MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • VBA macro programming skills, SQL or other programming skills/competencies preferable
  • Palantir Foundry skills are a big plus
  • Knowledge of database management is a big plus
  • Ability to adapt to new systems and technologies in a fast paced international environment

Required Education

  • Master’s degree in Economics or Finance or any other equivalent education related to Investment / Asset Management
