About the job:

Credit GRM Continental Europe manages the credit risk for Germany, France and Italy Branches, as well as Middle East. The team is organized by geography. The Area is responsible for the wholesale credit admission, having as main task to preserve the credit quality of the proposals to ensure profitable growth.


As part of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) the area interacts with global lending & advisory, transactional businesses and global markets for global corporate clients and institutional investors’ requests.

The area also includes interaction and management with other risks areas (FI, markets, counterparty, structural, operational, reputational…) as well as Compliance, Finance, Legal, etc.

Responsible for the credit risk admission for Europe and Middle East reporting directly to the GRM CIB CRO and locally to the Country Manager. Will be in charge of the local risk teams in European branches: France, Italy and Germany with scope also for Middle east credit business admission.


The main responsibilities of the functions are:

  • Responsible for the daily management of the credit risk admission of Financial Programs, with the assessment of total limit risk appetite within those groups, and new transaction proposals.
  • Participate in holding credit risk committees for risk approvals.
  • In charge of dealing with Regulators, internal/external audits, Internal Control and follow internal Risk Admission procedures.
  • Tracking, monitoring and reporting of operations and portfolio.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 15 years of credit risk underwriting experience within a corporate or commercial banking environment.
  • Rating tools knowledge. Local Regulatory knowledge.
  • Financial sponsors activity and structure, Leverage Finance.
  • Data Analysis and Data Driven management.
  • ESG knowledge.

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English (C1) and Spanish
  • Other languages such as German, French, or Italian will be valuable.
