Our Video Engineering crew is critical in pulling off top-notch video transcoding services, making smooth video experiences for millions. We're searching for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to become part of our fantastic team.

In this position, you work within our hybrid model “Highly Remote” . Find out more about this model here . The contractually agreed place of work will be Unterföhring near Munich or Berlin. Possible travel costs to the place of work will not be reimbursed.

What you can expect in this role

• You design, build, and manage video services on a big scale, using up-to-date cloud tech, while working with a team that's super into what they're doing
• You grasp the needs of users, the product, and the business and nail down the right tech solutions for them
• Therefore, you blend smartly what we create in-house with ready-made tools on the market
• You make standout features that keep ProSiebenSat.1 at the forefront of the quickly evolving streaming industry
• Also, you dive deep into the nitty-gritty of the latest video standards, CDNs, DRM systems, and cloud services to spot bugs and race conditions

Your essential experience and education

• You have a computer science, information technology, media engineering, or equivalent university degree
• You gained hands-on experience crafting and building backend services, and you're comfortable with the ins and outs of microservices design
• Besides that, you have solid and proven skills in TypeScript and Node.js, and if you know additional programming languages, that's a bonus
• You're all about stepping up the game regarding code quality and ensuring the existing code is easy to maintain
• Besides that, you have great communication skills in English because it is our team language
