Join our dynamic team in Morges (Switzerland) as a Senior Optical R&D Engineer and play a pivotal role in advancing our cutting-edge optical interrogator hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovative Development: Independently contribute to the development and enhancement of hardware for optical interrogators.
- Data Analysis: Perform detailed data analyses related to optical performance, providing critical support and advice to our production team.
- Test Bench Specification: Collaborate on the specification and creation of test benches for both R&D and production purposes.
- Project Leadership: Supervise internship students and lead collaborative projects with academic partners.
- Product Support: Assist product managers in drafting new product specifications and design optical demonstrators for proof of concept and prototyping.
- Experimental Operations: Build and operate experimental apparatuses in our R&D lab, encompassing both hardware and software components.
- Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation for test benches used in production and write detailed progress reports on experimental work.
- Production Support: Provide expert support to production by analyzing test results as needed.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Optical Engineering.
- At least two years of experience in the field, with expertise in the Omnisens interrogator family being highly desirable.
- Expertise in quantum optics is a valuable asset.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
