Brenntag, the world market leader in chemical and
ingredients distribution, is looking to complete its EMEA internal audit team
with a highly engaged Senior Internal Auditor (m/w/d). Become part of an

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will prepare and conduct internal audit projects of Group companies end-to-end
- After the onboarding phase, you will lead audit projects and small project teams
- You will assess if processes and controls are in compliance with internal and external guidelines
- You will evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and make valuable recommendations to improve the overall control environment
- The identification of opportunities for improvements regarding business processes and efficiency of controls and the provision of recommendations to create added value for the Group will also be part of your responsibilities
- You will present internal audit results and communicate them effectively
- You support the audit plan preparation and the further development of the audit methodology
- Furthermore, you'll support developing audit programs
- Follow up on recommendations and action plans
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in business administration, finance, IT or comparable qualifications or experience, ideally with a professional certification (e.g. CIA, ACCA, CPA)
- Min 3 years of auditing or finance-related professional experience in an international public accounting firm (preferably Big 4) or in multinational corporations
- Practical knowledge in the application and implementation of relevant standards for auditing in a complex international environment and ideally in a matrix organization
- Strong analytical skills, combined with excellent communication and presentation skills
- High motivation for independent project work and solution-oriented thinking
- Fluent in English, preferably other language skills
- Open to travel internationally (approx. 20%)
