The Head of Accounting is responsible for providing updated, clear, consistent and pertinent data about the financial position of the Group, Sectors or Units, both for external and internal use. His*her key accountabilities are :

• Define accounting guidance applicable to the whole Alstom group
• Point of contact for non-routine transactions, including M&A accounting
• Define Project accounting guidance applicable to the whole SAM group
• Point of contact and business partner for project related accounting topics (Tender and execution phase)
• Closing and consolidation of Alstom Group reporting & financial statements (F/S)
• Collect information and prepare notes for Alstom F/S
• Monitoring and support of Alstom regional hubs and entities regarding monthly closing / financial reporting
• Governance and support on reporting-related topics re. acquisition and disposal of business activities
• Interface actively with external auditors
• Optimise accounting and closing processes
• Manage the team: define strategy and action plans, set annual targets, evaluate performance twice a year, ensure good coordination and collaboration between team members to develop their skills, involve them in the recruitment process for key local managers, etc.
