Overview
SOS International LLC (SOSi) team is growing in Europe, and we are looking for a talented and dedicated Database Administrator to support an IT program based in Wiesbaden, Germany. SOSi is a family-owned government contractor with a long history of providing technical solutions to customers performing challenging missions.
Essential Job Duties
- Implementation and maintenance of Microsoft SQL based systems and tools.
- Will monitor and optimize the performance of the production SQL server databases.
- Responsible for database security, integrity, reliability, high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Identify and troubleshoot database issues and the ability to analyze, design, build, test and implement solutions. Implement and troubleshoot triggers, views, stored procedures and data integrity constraints.
- Maintain compliance with policies and procedures including DoD STIG requirements.
- Create database views, design/create databases, creation scripts, database foreign keys and indexes.
- Troubleshoot database performance using SQL Profiler.
- Migrate data from one database to another using SQL import tools, Excel, Access, or by writing stored procedures.
- Troubleshoot application errors by examining data, tables, stored procedures, functions and queries; troubleshoot connection errors and report errors.
- Grant database permissions.
- Identification and collection of data sets.
- Educating management and peers about SQL related issues.
- Serve as a technical representative for internal and external coordination of the day-to-day operations.
- Advises on situations that may require additional support or escalation.
Minimum Requirements
- Active DOD Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field.

8+ years of technical experience in the following areas:
- SQL Server (2016 preferred)
- Microsoft Server (2016 preferred)
- Microsoft DHCP/DNS Server
- Active Directory
- PowerShell scripting
- VDI Environments
- IAT II Information Assurance Certification II such as Security+ or equivalent is required.
- Expert understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) and Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
- Experience with VMware products and other virtualization technologies
- Demonstrated aptitude for analytical thinking, problem solving, and working multiple tasks concurrently.
- Must be approved by the USG and qualify as a Technical Expert under the U.S. SOFA in Germany.

Work Environment
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- 8-hour shift between hours of operation, 40 hours per week.
- Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Occasional need to support after hours and weekends as required by mission specific requirements.
