General Description: This role will be responsible for helping to develop an integrated marketing strategy and implement a cross-functional plan of action to commercialise BeiGene’s haematology products. Under the direction of the Sr. Director Commercial Operations & Strategic Marketing Sub-Region Europe (SRE), the Candidate will be responsible for developing integrated marketing strategies for the hematology portfolio, as well as implementing and driving a cross-functional plan of action to support product launches. SRE countries include Switzerland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland and Poland, and could expand further in the future. The Candidate will develop cross-functional deliverables, working closely with all SRE functions and teams (Country Managers, Product Managers, Medical Affairs and Market Access), as well as EU and Global counterparts. Finally, the Candidate will contribute to developing and supporting the integrated launch plans and tactics in the respective countries and will be responsible for supporting effective commercial and medical field performance across the region. Essential Functions of the job:

  • Drive the development and implementation of SRE and country tactical plans (regional and local) aligned to brand strategy and within agreed budget and timelines.
  • Lead the hematology SRE marketing community and manage SRE Marketing resources (operational expenses).
  • Lead and drive the development and implementation of a promotional strategy for hematology product(s) ensuring alignment with the overall regional brand strategy; this includes a portfolio of omni-channel and digital initiatives, innovative customer engagement models, customer-centric materials to amplify marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Lead and collaborate with SRE hematology Product Managers on the delivery of localized promotional materials where needed.
  • Contribute to the development of European and Global marketing content where required by working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners (to ensure end product is useful for SRE countries)
  • Utilize effective life cycle management, including further indications and brand protection strategies.
  • Continually monitor hematology market and competitive landscape to feed brand strategy and tactics based on global / European and country level field insights and market research/analytics. Based on this, drive optimization of country marketing plans and tactics in collaboration with country leadership.
  • Identify agencies/vendors/technologies/tools that can benefit the execution of tactics (regional and local level) in collaboration with local teams
  • Coordinate the development, organization and delivery of product-related trainings for SRE affiliates
  • Participate in national and international scientific meetings, symposia and workshops.
  • Ensure that all marketing activities are in compliance with BeiGene´s Standards of conduct and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee appropriate process associated with the review and approval of promotional materials to ensure compliant and timely delivery
  • Forge strong team-oriented working relationship with key stakeholders: in particular with SRE Product Managers, Key Account Managers, Field Excellence and Customer Insights Lead, Global and European counterparts (e.g. EU Brand Team), Country/General Managers and their Commercial/Marketing and Medical Directors.
  • Support SRE leadership in designing appropriate performance metrics.
  • Contribute to forecasting process for hematology product(s), ensuring use of up-to-date and realistic assumptions based on market and sales insights.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Over 10 years’ work experience in a Commercial/Marketing role in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries or within an advertising agency (focus on pharmaceutical/biotechnology), including both regional and local affiliate roles
  • Hematology marketplace launch experience strongly preferred
  • Previous line management experience required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and processes within a growing organization
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to a changing environment
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Expertise and track record of successful marketing plan development and implementation, budget management and tracking progress of campaigns
  • Strong strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing and cultivating effective internal working relationship with multi-layer, cross-functional counterparts across geographies
  • Digital Marketing experience desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including strong formal presentation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials is required
  • Fluent in English; and at least one other SRE country language advantageous.

Education Required:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Life Science required (e.g. Pharmacy, Medicine and Biology)
  • University degree in a relevant subject e.g., marketing, business, economics or bioscience
  • MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
