Therefore, we are looking for a Trainee Energy Trading (f/m/d), preferably starting on 01/06/2025, to join our team at E.ON and shape the energy transition of Europe. What you can expect from us
E.ON Energy Markets GmbH is a subsidiary of the E.ON Group. Its purpose is to provide access to the international trading markets to E.ON’s customer businesses, while managing risks and generating additional value through its trading activities.
During the program, you’ll have the chance to work in different functional placements mainly across Energy Trading departments (e.g. Forward or Short-term Trading, Structured Trading & Origination, Digital Technology, Decentral Energy Markets, Portfolio Management, Fundamental Analysis, Finance & Risk Management, Strategy & Transformation)
Besides, you’ll complete each at least one cross-functional and international placement
Moreover, we offer you the opportunity to gain global insights into E.ON’s energy markets business with a focus on supporting the expansion of our trading and market analysis capabilities across Europe (e.g. Munich, Prague, Nottingham, Malmö)
What we expect from you
You have an above average Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Economics, Management or comparable studies with at least 2 years of relevant working experience or a respective Master’s degree
Enthusiasm for digital technologies, energy economics and solving energy industry challenges on an international scale characterizes you
You are fluent in English and willing to learn German
Ideally you have gained international experience staying abroad in the form of exchange semesters, internships, or volunteer work
Your initial knowledge in energy markets, as well as your programming skills (e.g. Python) would be ideal
You can contribute with the ability to build meaningful and strong relationships with relevant interfaces and your networking skills
Strong reasoning and quantitative skills as well as the ability to tackle new challenges with out-of-the-box approaches are what we are looking for to develop even further with you
An already existing residence permit and work visa for Germany are not necessarily required.
