This challenge awaits you:

As a Systems Engineer for commercial vehicles at the Nuremberg site, you will play a key role in the further development of existing drive concepts for commercial vehicles, construction machinery and other commercial applications. This includes the electrical/electronic architecture and control engineering development of fuel cell, battery-electric and conventional drives.

Your Tasks:

• You are responsible for analyzing requirements and developing drive concepts and architectures.
• You are responsible for the application of guidelines and standards for functional safety and cyber security.
• Function development in MATLAB or Simulink or similar development environments is also part of your tasks.
• You will carry out commissioning on the engine test bench and in the vehicle.
• You will further develop the existing tool landscape.
• You will be responsible for the development and design of regulation and control concepts.

Necessary Skills:

• Successfully completed diploma or master's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, physics or a comparable field of study
• Very good knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and programming in C/C++
• Good knowledge of requirements management in IBM DOORS or comparable tools
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Confident appearance, strong communication and teamwork skills
• Driving license class B
• German and English language skills to at least C1 level

Desired Skills:

• Several years of professional experience in the field of function or process development
• Knowledge in the field of fuel cell or combustion engine development
• Good knowledge of the development of battery-electric drives
• Willingness to travel domestically and abroad
• Cyber security management systems (UNECE R155/R156, ISO 21434)
