Join our team of innovators at our R&D center in Zurich, where we're pushing the boundaries of Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to enable secure, accurate, and reliable distance measurement for a wide range of applications. As a Senior System Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to drive the development of next-generation UWB solutions, collaborating with a talented team of experts to shape the future of this exciting technology.

In your new role you will:
- Develop algorithms for the UWB radios considering the implementation complexity aspects
- Collaborate with digital and analog designers on digital and mixed-signal requirements’ specifications for UWB baseband and analog features
- Derive clear specifications for analog and digital blocks to be implemented on chip
- Evaluate performance trade-offs and propose innovative improvements to existing UWB features
- Lead in an independent manner sub-projects of various UWB IP algorithm development comprehensively and ensure a smooth work process
- Proactively drive the improvement of existing IPs and working flows

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A Master's or PhD degree technical degree in Electrical Engineering , Computer Science , or comparable. PhD in a related field is a plus
- At least 5 years of professional or academic experience in the field of Digital Signal Processing or Communication Systems
- Strong design skills in RF transceiver modelling / Matlab / Python / SystemC
- Experience with signal processing and algorithm development , ideally for wireless communications or machine learning
- Ability to write pseudocode of algorithms to be used by other teams involved in IC design
- Experience in Pulsed Time Radars is a plus
- Digital Design experience is also welcome
- Proficient verbal and written communication in English, precise and clear documenting methodology

- have high degree of own initiative and interest for interdisciplinary work
- have strong interest in growing your expertise in digital wireless systems and implementation
- approach problems with curiosity and flexibility, are a good listener, fast learner and take responsibility

Ultra-wideband (UWB) is emerging as preferred chip technology for secure, centimeter accurate and reliable distance measurement for numerous applications across including car access, door access in residential and hospitality, tap-free mobile payments and real-time localization systems (RTLS), among many others. In addition, new UWB standards are being developed such as IEEE 802.15.4ab bringing UWB technology into new domains for child safety and lossless audio streaming.
