The research group of Alba Diz-Muñoz at the Cell Biology and Biophysics Unit of EMBL Heidelberg is seeking a Lab Manager/Technician for assistance with routine lab tasks and management of lab resources. Dependent on prior experience, it is foreseen that the Lab Manager/Technician would participate in more advanced cell biology and biophysical measurements, and in particular experiments

You have

  • A completed training as lab technician with several years of work experience or a university degree with additional lab experience or a PhD in life sciences or biophysics.
  • Experience in cell biology and lipid biology
  • Excellent skills in organisation, documentation and reporting, as well as the ability to work pro-actively across a broad range of functions in a dynamic, international and interdisciplinary environment
  • Good interpersonal skills and solid written and spoken English. German language skills are not essential.

You might also have

  • Prior experience in live imaging is an advantage.
  • Former qualifications and/or work experience in lab management are an advantage
