Location: Reinach, Baselland, CH, CH-4153 Business Unit: Compliance Test Solutions Posting Date: Nov 27, 2024 Job Description: For our AMETEK CTS business unit, we are looking for an IT Manager Europe (m/f/d) at our headquarters in Reinach BL (close to Basel, Switzerland).

Key Responsibilities of the IT Manager Europe (m/f/d) include:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with business goals and drives operational efficiency.
  • Lead the development and implementation of standardized IT processes and policies across all global sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and enterprise applications.
  • Implement robust cybersecurity protocols and continuously monitor systems to protect against threats, ensure data integrity, and maintain SOX compliance.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure and operations across all European sites comply with SOX, GDPR, and other relevant regulations, integrating these requirements into IT strategies and practices.

  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and suppliers to ensure the procurement of cost-effective and high-quality IT services and products.
  • Lead and manage multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the defined objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance IT service delivery, improve customer satisfaction, and address user needs effectively.
  • Apply Lean IT methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity across IT operations.
  • Oversee the global IT support operations, ensuring that IT tickets are handled efficiently and innovatively, fostering a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT team, encouraging innovation and the adoption of new technologies and practices.


Position Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of global IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and industry best practices.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing IT strategies and policies.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Good knowledge of English and German is required in order to communicate with different stakeholders.


Education and experience

  • Extensive knowledge of global IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and industry best practices.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing IT strategies and policies.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMP).
  • Experience with Lean IT practices and continuous improvement methodologies.


Supervisory Responsibility No direct supervisory responsibilities; has functional responsibility and coordination with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Travel

  • Less than 20% travel is expected for this position
