What you´ll do
The EPIC team as part of the Columbus Flight Control Team, is responsible for handling real-time planning, execute package processing, providing defined support for payload activities preparation, in the frame of the International Space Station Project for ESA.
EPIC main tasks:
- Long-term (LTP) and short-term planning (STP) of ESA activities of both the crew and ground teams
- Supporting the Operations Planning for Columbus and European experiments
- Performing special tasks for realtime experiment support
What we are looking for
We are looking for graduates in the engineering field with background and interest in the space sector.
- Engineering degree or equivalent University degree (M.Sc. or equivalent)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work under stress
- Good team working and communication skills (Fluent written and spoken English, additional languages are considered an asset)
- Demonstrable motivation and interest in Human Space Flight/Space Operations
- Willingness to work shifts also outside of normal "office hours" (e.g. over weekends)
Previous experience, and knowledge in Columbus operations or experience with understanding and planning complex projects is considered an asset.
The position also requires the willingness to travel within Europe and abroad.
