Responsibilities:
To support our growth in French Part of Switzerland, we are looking for a:
Avionics AIT Technician – Space (H/F)
Mission:
Based in Lausanne, you will be responsible for Electrical integration of Space equipment onto Spacecrafts as well as performing functional and performance tests of telecommunication satellites.
You’ll be required to perform the following tasks:
- Electrical and RF Equipment integration & connections at spacecraft level
- Installation and validation of test equipment,
- Execution of test procedures,
- Conducting tests in complex environments: thermal vacuum, vibration, anechoic chamber,
- First-level troubleshooting on test benches and tools,
- Calling on defined technical support (electrical contacts) when the nominal sequence of electrical operations cannot be followed,
- Disconnecting, removing and storing test equipment,
- Classifying and archiving documentation,
- Saving test and measurement results,
- Accompanying the satellite to the launch site (Kourou, Baikonour, Florida, India...).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent education required. Electrical or related field of study in Electrical degree is a plus,
- 5+ years minimum experience in an AIT (Assembly, Integration and Test) environment

You have a background in:
- Electronics and electrical engineering, electrical operations (Standard Electrical test operations, connections, harness handling, soldering, crimping, etc…)
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques,
- Conducting tests and experiments,
- Experience with Radiofrequencies test (VNA, SA, S-parameters, AM/AM) and UNIX/LINUX-based computer networks in a space environment would be advantageous,
- A solid understanding of test equipment and test benches is highly desirable,
- You are autonomous, rigorous, and possess excellent analytical and synthesis skills,
- You have strong writing abilities and enjoy working in a team,
- Your initiative and ability to propose new ideas will be invaluable assets,
- You are agile and versatile in the tasks you will be assigned,
- You have strong analysis, synthesis and adaptation skills,
- You speak English fluently
