Job Summary

  • Seeking a highly experienced and proactive team member for our Frankfurt Critical facilities, FR11.
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with vendors, support site administration, and collaborate on infrastructure projects.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, ensure vendor compliance, and manage inventory needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the electrical and mechanical infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Conduct site inspections, supervise building and IBX alarms, and oversee preventative maintenance.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, gather data for permits, and maintain accurate site logs.
  • Assist senior staff with on-site incidents and gradually take on more complex incidents independently.
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects and small works projects like lighting upgrades.
  • Work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Resolve client tickets through the Equinix Ticket system, meeting SLA standards.
  • Report any health and safety issues to your line manager promptly.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in German and excellent command of English.
  • Completed vocational training as an electrician / electronics technician / energy electronics technician / refrigeration and air conditioning technician or equivalent.
  • Broad knowledge of critical infrastructure like UPS, HVAC, CRAH Units, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with customers.
  • Basic understanding of Maximo, Power BI, MS-Office (Word/Excel) or similar tools (optional).
